ROMANIN, SAMUELE
ROMANIN, SAMUELE (1808–1861), Italian historian. Born in Trieste, Romanin went to live in Venice at age 12, living there for the rest of his life. He became famous as the author of La Storia dei Popoli Europei dalla Decadenza dell'Impero Romano, and especially Storia Documentata di Venezia, a work in 10 volumes written between 1853 and 1861. -BIBLIOGRAPHY: G.
